As a part of a newly funded campus writing center, Iowa State University is seeking a Director of the Writing and Media Help Center (WMHC). The Director is responsible for the development and management of a comprehensive university-wide writing center. Duties include outreach to faculty related to writing in discipline courses, supervision of graduate and undergraduate staff, as well as policy development and implementation related to writing-based academic support.

Major Responsibilities: Teach in support of the First-Year Writing Program and Developmental Writing Program. Provide teacher leadership and mentoring within both programs. Additional opportunities will include teaching within the Rhetoric and Writing Studies undergraduate major, with additional teaching and administrative opportunities in graduate programs, and appropriate department and university committees.
