Endowed Professorship—Roy Pearce Professor of Professional Communication

Clemson University's English Department seeks an outstanding scholar and teacher at the associate or full professor rank for an endowed professorship, the Roy Pearce Professor of Professional Communication. With a well-established and active research agenda, the Pearce Professor will inspire innovative and engaged critical inquiry, articulate the need for and value of public rhetorics, mentor junior faculty and students, and provide vision and leadership in support of various curricular and institutional programs, including a robust professional writing curriculum at the BA level, MA programs in Writing, Rhetoric, and Media (MAWRM) and English (MAE), as well as an interdisciplinary PhD in Rhetorics, Communication, and Information Design (RCID). The Pearce Professor will also work closely with the Pearce Center for Professional Communication and the Campbell Chair in Technical Communication to advance Clemson’s highly regarded communication across the curriculum initiatives.

Two TT Positions in English Education at UT El Paso

POSITION DESCRIPTION: The University of Texas at El Paso (UTEP) Department of English seeks applications for two Assistant Professor of English in English Education positions, beginning August 2019. The English Education program serves preservice and practicing secondary English teachers through an undergraduate major and an MAT program that includes Dual Credit preparation. The Department of English also houses programs in Literature and Rhetoric and Writing Studies. English Education faculty work with faculty in these other programs in teacher preparation.

The Division of Academic Affairs at Rollins College is seeking an experienced professional to join the team. The Coordinator of the Tutoring & Writing Center has overall administrative responsibility for the operation of the TWC. This includes training and providing pedagogical support to peer-writing consultant; overseeing the work of the Associate Coordinator for Subject Tutoring (hires, trains, supervises and evaluates the work of peer educators in writing); and seeking effective ways to integrate TWC operations with other academic support services of the College.
