Assistant Professor of English in Rhetoric and Gender Studies for a joint appointment in English and Women’s Studies to teach and develop graduate and undergraduate interdisciplinary courses on gender. The successful candidate will be able to contribute to a new PhD in English with tracks in Rhetoric & Textual Studies and Professional Writing & New Media. We welcome applications from all areas in English studies, with preference given to the history of rhetoric, race and ethnic studies, or feminist rhetorical theory. Requirements: PhD in English, Rhetoric, or related discipline by August 15, 2008; graduate coursework in Women’s or Gender Studies; evidence of excellence in teaching and research with focus on gender.
