2010 CWPA Network Breakfast at CCCC
Thursday, March 18 * Seelbach Hotel, Louisville * Doors open at 6am
As the title might suggest, on Thursday, March 18th, the Council of Writing Program Administrators is bringing you a new twist on an old favorite. Of course, the WPA Breakfast still has the things you love: a ritualistic kick off to the CCCC! A chance to see old friends and make new ones! A colorful variety of handouts to keep you informed on WPA doings! Melon slices!
This year, however, we’re adding a new element to help you build your WPA network by structuring the breakfast to encourage new conversations. We’ll have special interest tables (which will be clearly and enticingly labeled) so that you can connect with teachers and administrators who share your interests.
To do this, we need your help! Use the link below to access a survey and let us know what topics should be discussed at the CWPA Network Breakfast tables!
There will be time to chat and to move around to more than one table, too.
But wait! There’s more! Each of these tables will be headed up by a WPAmbassador – current and former members of the CWPA Executive Board as well as others -- who will help facilitate conversation and fill your coffee cup for you.
(Okay, that bit is made up. But they’re still pretty helpful folks!)
And all of this will take place in the Seelbach Hotel. It’s a mere 8-minute walk from the conference (see the directions at the bottom of this page), and it’s where, according to The Great Gatsby, Tom and Daisy Miller married. In addition to this local color, you’ll get a deellicous, hearty, buffet breakfast (which will of course include vegetarian and non-vegetarian options). The festivities open at 6:30 AM.
Once you have purchased your breakfast, save your receipt and bring your receipt to the breakfast—it’s your entrance ticket. The doors will open at 6:00 a.m.
