Instructor of English, Wright State University


Pending availability of funding, the Department of English is seeking one non-tenure track instructor for a one-year appointment, with the possibility of renewal for up to 6 years. Teaching responsibilities: nine 4-credit hour courses in the writing program (primarily first-year composition) over three quarters. Salary: competitive.

Required: MA in English, Writing, or Rhetoric; substantial course work in composition/rhetoric; at least one year of successful college or university teaching experience in first-year writing courses
Preferred: experience teaching writing in computer environments
Useful: training and experience in teaching writing in various disciplines, ESL, business writing, or technical writing
