Visiting Assistant Professor in Writing at the University of Central Arkansas

The Position: The Department of Writing invites applications for a non-tenure-track, visiting assistant professor position for the 2010-2011 academic year. The successful candidate must have experience teaching college writing and should be a specialist in rhetoric and composition, technical writing, or closely related field. Duties include teaching first-year composition with the possibility of also teaching technical writing or writing for new technologies. The successful candidate should have the capacity to teach, research, advise, and provide leadership, and may also have a secondary emphasis in linguistics or creative writing.

Minimum Qualifications: College writing teaching experience and advanced degree in Rhetoric and Composition, Technical Communication, or closely related field. PhD preferred. ABD will also be strongly considered.
