Scope of Job: The University of Texas – Pan American (UTPA) English Department seeks two 3-year lecturers (annually renewable, upon favorable evaluations) whose primary assignments will be in the Freshman Writing program. Applicants may also be assigned duties in the CORE or departmental programs as needed in disciplines within the English department--creative writing, English education, linguistics/applied linguistics, literature, and/or rhetoric-- dependent upon qualifications.

Required: • Education- MA in one of the disciplines housed in the English department by August 2013

Preferred: • Experience - 2 years' teaching experience at the post-secondary level

Other information: Applicants must be willing to teach as needed on campus during University class scheduled hours, conduct research, and serve the university, discipline, and community as an active member of the UTPA faculty.
