Full-time, Renewable Lectureships in Basic Writing at Wayne State University

Wayne State University is searching for five lecturers, each of whom will teach three sections of Basic Writing per semester during the academic year; join an active cohort of teaching faculty in the Composition Program; and participate in the program’s ongoing initiatives in assessment, curricular and pedagogical development, and teacher training and mentoring. These are full-time renewable positions with benefits. Lecturers in English (Composition)

The Department of English at Wayne State University invites applications for five full-time renewable Lecturer positions in Composition. The MA or PhD in Composition/Rhetoric or English is required. All candidates should have background and experience in the field of Composition Studies; experience in teaching Basic Writing is preferred. Lecturers will teach a 3-3 load of ENG 1010, Basic Writing, per academic year. Lecturers will join a cohort of full-time teaching faculty and participate in our Composition Program’s ongoing development in curriculum, pedagogy, teacher training and mentoring, and assessment.
