Instructor of English (full-time, tenure-track) Cayuga Community College (SUNY)
The School of Media and the Arts seeks applications for 10-month, tenure-track teaching appointments in English Composition to teach first-year writing and developmental English. Two positions will be based at the Auburn campus. One position will be based at the Fulton campus (under the Division of College Studies).
Demonstrated commitment to teaching first-year students.
Knowledge of key issues in college writing instruction.
Familiarity with current course, program, and curricular assessment practices.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Additional experience and interest in developmental studies, WAC/ WID pedagogy, reading/ literacy instruction, new media/ multi-modal composition, professional/ technical writing, or technology-mediated instruction is desirable
Master’s in English with specialization in composition/rhetoric; developmental and community college teaching experience recommended.
Date to be filled:
Fall 2013, pending Board approval of the budget.
$54,241 plus a comprehensive benefit package
