Visiting Assistant Professor in Writing:
The Position: The Department of Writing at the University of Central Arkansas invites applications for a non-tenure-track, visiting assistant professor position in composition. Teaching load is 4/4 (12 hours per semester). The successful candidate will have experience teaching college writing and should be a specialist in rhetoric and composition, professional writing, or closely related field and must have strong interest and experience in first-year writing. Duties include primarily teaching first-year composition with the possibility of teaching one to three upper-level courses during the year depending on qualifications and department need. The successful candidate should have the capacity to teach, research, advise, and provide leadership.
Minimum Qualifications: College writing teaching experience and a PhD in Rhetoric and Composition, Technical Communication, or closely related field.
