Penn State Abington Full-Time (FT1) Lecturer in Writing

Penn State Abington is searching for a Full-Time Lecturer in Writing to teach a variety of upper- and lower-level writing courses as well as literature and composition courses as needed. Our preference is for a nonfiction writer with a familiarity with teaching writing in digital media, but poets, fiction writers, and playwrights will be seriously considered. Our growing writing program includes composition at various levels, Writing Across the Curriculum, and a Writing Minor, which serves students in various majors interested in developing their writing skills. The College supports the annual publication of a student literary and arts magazine, The Abington Review. The position is for one year and is renewable. The teaching load is 4/4; service to the College, profession, and/or community is expected. Qualifications: MFA in Creative Writing or MA in related field (PhD desirable); publications in national outlets; and successful college teaching experience.
