WPA-GO Call for Graduate Committee Nominations

In July 2013 the WPA-GO Graduate Committee (GC) will say goodbye to current members Laurie A. Pinkert and Timothy R. Dougherty; therefore, we invite nominations for two new Graduate Committee members. WPA-GO especially encourages nominations of those who will bring diverse perspectives to this committee.

The Writing Program Administrators-Graduate Student Organization (WPA-GO) is pleased to announce its 2012 WPA Conference Meet and Greet!

We’ll be gathering on Friday, July 20th from 8:30-10:00PM at the Q Bar located inside Hotel Albuquerque. We have reserved the Gallery Lounge and VIP Room for our event. Please arrive before 9:00 PM to avoid a cover charge.

Call for Applications: 2012 WPA Conference Graduate Student Travel Grants

The Writing Program Administrators Graduate Student Organization (WPA-GO) and the Council of Writing Program Administrators (CWPA) are pleased to announce five travel grants for current graduate students presenting at the 2012 WPA Conference to be held July 19-22 in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Two presenters will be awarded $250.00 each, and three runners up will receive $100.00 each. Funding for these grants has been graciously provided by CWPA.

Elder, Purdue University; Todd Ruecker, University of Texas at El Paso; Megan Schoen, Purdue University; and Ryan Witt, Temple University. In order to maintain the 7-person GC as outlined in the recently adopted WPA-GO By-Laws, we invite nominations for three new Graduate Committee members.

CWPA and WPA-GO are proud to announce the recipients of the 2012 CCCC graduate student travel grants. Winners were announced at the CWPA Breakfast at CCCC. Funding was generously provided by Bedford/St. Martin's.
